People looking for summer work have a lot better chance this year with nearly three in 10 employers planning to bring on additional workers, according to CareerBuilder‘s annual Summer Job Forecast.

“Confidence is up among the employers we most closely associate with summer hiring,” said Brent Rasmussen, president of CareerBuilder North America. “The forecast is also a strong indicator that the job market will continue to strengthen as we come closer to the second half of 2012.”
He noted that a summer job can give a worker a leg up in moving into a permanent position.
