The United States unemployment rate has dipped slightly, but private companies are still extremely wary about hiring workers.
The US unemployment rate has fallen from 9.9 to 9.7 per cent.
But almost all the job creation came from the Government hiring more than 400,000 census workers, while private employers added just 41,000 jobs.
President Barack Obama says it is the fifth month in a row that jobs have been created.
However 15 million Americans are still unemployed.
